Have you ever downloaded and tried to learn programming via programming apps? I just recently re-downloaded Programming Hub from the Google Play Store on my Google Chromebook. I originally used it on my iPhone. Do you think it's a decent way to learn? If you've tried any of the apps, which ones have you tried?

Can't say I have ever used one of these. Not even so much as to know they existed actually until just recently lol.
I tried Mimo a little bit, it’s kinda like duo lingo though, unless you work outside the app also your learning is limited

I like Udemy for learning too since there are a variety of courses to choose from not to mention, free ones. A lot of them will have you work along with them so you can try stuff out yourself. I think I only purchased one course there that was for sale at the time and I only finished 41% of it.
I haven't ever used apps. The best way to learn programming is to grab an open source project of something you're interested in, such as a game you like playing, and slowly make changes to it.
Many years ago yeah, but then ended it soon after. We wanted to make an app for our GTA clan for our members
but we didn't get to finished it.

Am I the only one who starts by reading the docs?

Maybe, I do it a bit reverse. I look at some existing code
then I go to the docs to learn about what I'm looking at.

It might not go in line with learning necessarily, but Stack Overflow usually always has an answer to my programming-related questions.
